Russel, I don't understand trading language sometimes. Do you mean by "from the short side" - you are selling it to buy it back at lower prices or the reverse? Anyways, I am just accumulating CIBC and BMO. Why? Just my personal opinion is that BMO atleast has a deal in paper that looks good to me. ie they know their goal for this year end. Now with CIBC - I bought in during the big hit it took recently, and I haven't seen any official announcement from their CEO that they are not in favour of any M&As. I am an inexperienced investor so I am staying with "relatively" safe ones. Good Luck to you.
