re dividend stocks.
ORI- pays a special $1.5 dividend plus $0.88 regular dividend this year.

I bought this is fall 2020 and so far got (and will get this year):
$1 special and 2x $0.2 regular dividends for a total of $1.4 in 2020 (half year)

So that a total $3.78 in dividends for a stock I paid ~$14.5.

Another one with distributions rather than dividends

LAACZ - bought my first lot of units in late 2012 for $1000. Sold units I had in IRA in 2015 (because I had to, brokerage forced my hand) for ~$2000.

Added back units in taxable in 2018-2020 for ~$2150 and even got a fee for $1350 (in March 2020).

The distribution is now increased from $26/ quarter to $34/ quarter. The first distribution I received in 2012 was $11.5/ quarter.

I really don’t care where LAACZ trades, this Investment just spits out cash. If units are cheap, I will just buy some more every now and then. This is my largest position (~20% of my taxable accounts, which are smaller than my tax deferred accounts though). It’s a #neversell position for me.
