Baird,

I couldn't agree with you more about RIG. I added even
more to what was already by far my largest position today.

John

Baird, thanks for a very thorough summary of your take on how international affairs impact on this market sector. I listened to Cohen this evening on Larry King, and it sounded as if Clinton is hanging tough. Cohen said that if we attacked the attack would be massive. He also said we were beefing up forces in the area (ships, and planes). Gingrich and Lott were even more strident in their positions then Clinton. Clinton seemed to be trying to reassure the world that the US would not take action without exhausting diplomatic channels. Lott and Gingrich were saying that Sadam must be forced from office. If we take action against Sadam, it might occur during the next couple of weeks.

Regards,

Paul
