THE PROBLEM WITH PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE REVOLUTIONARY SOLUTION TO THAT PROBLEM Public schools and public school teachers should be rendered obsolete... ALL public schools should be shut down, ALL teacher's union should be broken and disbanded, ALL public school teachers should be fired... The "public school system" started in the American colonies in 1635 and has not changed since, the model is as obsolete as the ox and cart which came before the horse and buggy... If we got rid of all public education, then how would our kids learn??? Instead of giving money to public schools, each State could allot a voucher to each and every parent on behalf of their children in the form of a debit card which could only be used for education... This would create a boom in the creation of private schools nationwide and each of these new private schools would compete for the best teachers at the best price to attract students... Competition works if you let it and this kind of competition would create top quality private schools at low cost to all parents, and then the parents could choose how and where to send their kids...
