I have seen the Globe and Mail article and here is a few points that stuck out.

Corel said this
ultimitely , good products get great sales.

Analyst said this
Company who's optimism borders on denial.

Cowpland is unsuited for the role of penny pincher.

Corel has a market value of $200 Mil.

and last but not least a analyst said this

Corel has 30.6 Mil in cash which he predicts will give them 4 months to run to generate profits or else they are in trouble.

All and all my take on the article was not that positive and that's why I posted the negative points. The reason I did this is that the only positive people were Corel's remarks and all the other people which I take were analyst were the opposite. As far as I can see Cowpland has to go to restore credibility which the article pointed out also.

A lot of people must have applied your idea of a Vanni filter to Dr. Cowpland's sayings. A Cowpie filter, if you will.

There is no real news in the story. Analysts hate the stock. Cowpie runs his mouth a lot and has not changed a bit. At least he didn't promise profits this quarter or more vaporware.

Old habits die hard. Just give the man a soap box and he will do his thing. Even now.
