A good place to make restart.

Maybe John Perkins should take this occasion to go on the offensive?

I can do that for him. Too easy -g-

"Change the rules" (approx 11 mins)

And lead in with this illuminating free audio book...

So is the United Fruit Company, Hallibertan, Brown Brothers Harriman, et al going to mend ways?

But Bankster bashing and Amerikka bashing gets boring after a while, and does not achieve much good by itself.

So cruising the threads, I came across this guy, and was initially not impressed with haircut at all. Wondering what line of bs he will come up with ? Pleasantly proven incorrect. (example 10 mins in and "shareholder capitalism") May well buy his book. Gets to the crux of the matter. Perception of the public good and ones behaviour in dealing with it.

There is a better world out there waiting to happen, once the right commitment is shown. A certain number of re education camps would be necessary maybe ? -g-

One thing has to go is the secrecy at the top and the forced transparency at the bottom. There seems to be an awful lot of resources making sure "joe & jane public" are not terrorists, while total opaqueness at the top.

There are vast secrets kept for the purposes for "National Security" while every single aspect of our lives is investigated and our private lives goes up in smoke. "National Security" my ass. That is where the punitive investigations need to start imho. Rather then body searches at airports, senior public officials, company CEO's need to be frisked by the public, frequently, for terrorist tendencies and activities. Makes sense, as that is where the real terrorists seem to hang out.
