there will be strong nations.. one cannot escape that.

as per your post, I'd say the Mongolians were not nice, or please explain invasions, torch & burn. I do not think they left a lasting impression of good will in Krakow or Vienna.
I'd say, the most progressive of Muslims were the Moors of Spain. if it were not for them, a lot of what would have been lost in the inquisitions of the Catholic church would have been forever.

the Vikings occupied Ireland & England.. their descendants emigrated south, of which includes my family ancestry.
think of Russia.. Swedish tribes called the "Rus" occupide E.Europe.

I stand by my statement.. I think a lot of issues were due to Reagan's cowboy diplomacy, G.Bush2's sheer stupidly on invading the wrong country & chasing one fuc***g Saudi in Afghanistan.

I do not like what I see on the news. I agree with you for the most part.

I think the US went from 1975 to 1983 without bombing/shelling anyone.

Then they shelled Beirut from the Iowa after the attack on the Marines there. They also invaded Grenada, which seemed more like a military exercise that violated sovereignty rather than an invasion.
