Hmmm. That $50 million is still only 2.2% of their cash... But, not unreasonable for them to be thinking a bit more about black swans... when they've just shat all over their front lawn ? It is interesting to note some of the "macro" shifts that are likely to be occurring now.. or "soon"... while there are still enormous disconnects between reality and expectations... not on consumers part, but some investors... and, thinking back to arguments between Peter Schiff and others on inflation, gold, bonds and the dollar... they can't all be right... ? Heard today that consumer confidence numbers are back down near the lows of April 2020... Not clear Delta is any real threat... and it may already be nearly over here, as it is in Europe... but the Kiwi's and Aussies are locking down again anyway ? Hmmm, again. Politics is taking a nasty turn. We now know how bad things have to get before CNN turns on a Democratic President and wags a finger at him.. Clueless talking head at MSNBC today saying "its it journalists who are in the right... as they want the U.S. to stay in Afghanistan... while 95% of Americans will support Biden in this"... They just don't get it. The media know "this will make things harder"... but I think they have no clue what that really means, yet... its the inevitability issue... knowing "it" is coming... just not what or when... And, i see very little "connecting the dots" efforts yet... between the knock on effects of a failed leadership... and how pissed off people were, already... before... getting this steaming pile dumped on them... So, I expect surprising calm... for maybe a week or two... But, we'll see. There seems to be no shortage of fans... and there's plenty of stuff to hit them with...
