That is exactly what I was thinking when I posted that...

Seeking to devise and patent a technology for a paper note... that would automatically adjust the number of zeros per changing demand by central dictat...

But, of course, the function they intend is not only to change the scope and scale of the money in the market... but to alter the locus of it... the ownership of that money...

As inflation robs you of the value of your money:

If I open my wallet and the one dollar bill I had... is now a $2... or a $5 ? And, the $5 has become a $10 ? Sweet !!! That would be useful in the economy, too, to spur activity... as it would enable me in participating more actively in "Do you want fries with that" ? YES, I might say.... given $5 become $10 and the extra $5 bonus to spend ? And I will not bother to worry too much about where the extra $5 came from ?

If, instead, I open my wallet... and find the $10 that I had has become a $5... ? No fries for me, today.

But, when my $10 shrank to a $5... where did the other $5 go ?

If there is no change in the value stated on my bills... but instead I need more of them to get the fries ?

That's because when they made more money... they just didn't give me any of it... and clearly didn't care enough about money being tied to value creation... to maintain my proportional interest in the supply of money...

As $10 becomes $5... I get no fries... and someone else gets the lost value of my money...

And, that's what keeps banks from failing... in spite of repeatedly failing to succeed. They don't really have to care if they succeed or not, any more... When they lose all the money they'd started with... they just print up a bunch more for themselves... and I get no fries...

So, I've abandoned work on the automatically self adjusting currency that produces new zeros on demand... since the whole point is they want to steal the value of my money... not give me more ?

That them doing that... really makes no sense... is not a reason for them to not do it...

Because they care about keeping themselves flush... fully insulated from the consequences of their failures... don't care about giving you only what they've flushed.... as that left over from prior takings.
