John,

>>Yes - when I tried to run a browser through windows under emulation it seemed to be quite slow. I have a 166mhz -604 PPC with a 56k modem that runs at about 49.5-50.3k on real telephone lines. It seems that all the latest web goodies are published first in and sometimes only in Window speak.

I did install Netscape 3.0 in VirtualPC to try it out for you and it seemed be held back only by the net and not the Mac emulation. The processor on the G3 266MHz PowerPC is probably 4x as fast without considering the bus enhancements on the G3 computer. Like comparing a Pentium II with a 486. If we lived near each other I would just let you try it out and see if you liked it. I'll ask around for some benchmarking software for the PC and maybe it can give us a clearer idea of performance under emulation.

Cheers,

Norm
