You may be right. Two more &#145biggun&#146s are headed this way (one starting now as I type). San Rafael, where I live, has an elevation slightly below sea level (bordering the Bay, about 10 feet below, with a citywide network of ancient pumps).

Fortunately, I opted for the second floor of my apartment building despite the attractive first floor rent. I'm set now&#151got my canoe lashed to the balcony in case the water rises, completely stocked with a laptop, Ricochet wireless, and two weeks of Beanie-Wienies. Might be floating, inadvertently, down to Texas soon. Scrapps may end up there, too, despite his wishes. Hope y&#146all give him a warm, dry welcome.

I bought some of that beach front real estate in 89 after the quake, I'm not sure which one but California is going to burn, shake or ooze into the sea.
