CO, Leading up to WW2, national polling showed that we Americans-voted for Germany as their favorite European nation. Hitler loved Henry Ford. The only American Hitler mentioned in his memoir was Ford. Ford autos were the #1 produced auto in Germany. Remember Hitler’s blitzkreig(ability to rapidly move soldiers and war equipment) the name came from the Blitz military trucks being made by Opel. Who owned Opel? That would be General Motors, In fact—GM only sold their ownership of Opel a few years ago! Business comes first!

I think my age group in Chi & mid- West were 'radically' different in thought & awareness than the WestCoast. It wasn't John Wayne thing.. we just did/ & expected, what our WW2 fathers did. now, I think things this way. Bill Clinton, when he left office. Healthy economy. No wars. The hero of Kosovo. Peace & prosperity. We were retiring the nat debt. t/b ret est 2012. Big Bill, the 'leader of Nato' according to my Munich beer garden friends in midOct'99, of course the discussion(s).. politics, women, & the 'market'... the Germans are not life- dingy like Americans. He hosed the Saudis on a $5billion commercial airplane order his 1st month in office.. a 'committed' AirBus order to Boeing. He established relations with VietNam. all good. So, Bill bonked Monica. & we went to shit beginning Jan'01 I am waging war on republicans.. duplicitous political assassins/ assholes. but my jungle fatigues no longer fit.

CO.. US spent 20 years with boots on the ground,.. US ALREADY knows advisors and training DOES NOT work... but lots of folks profits and US folks die.. foreigners die.. Mr. Biden and Ms Harris are honestly laughable in their mismanagement of the pullout .. Allies were an afterthought .. maybe as Rarebird suggests Mr. Biden was too preoccupied with Covid.. but he NEEDS to multitask.. To the folks there it was an invasion... simple.. let's not play semantics.. "Imagine if the U.S. had not backed the mujahideen and if the Afghans had been allowed to entertain the possibility of a socialist future. Yes let's go with Sharia law instead of the hand up philosophy of socialism.. OMG THAT is the MOST laughable of all.. Canada and much of EU is pretty socialist .. and folks are happy for it.. even you progressives are brainwashed that socialism is communism... What did Marx and Rand have in common .. A complete lack of understanding of human nature... Let's not confuse communism which is simply feudalism and fascism dressed up ... with socialism.. Bernie Sanders would be an NDPer up here... not a communist ... What made China a contender ? the realization that capitalism is necessary for human advancement.. but it needs be blended with a good bit of socialism IMO... I have to agree on Elroy J's call on emperor Xi to a point.. I found the term extension very discouraging ... but I said in the past China would surprise on the green side.. bang on so far.. and would need democratize more.. I am on shaky ground on that one... but it is coming Everyone is responsible for their own happy and also freedom...
