<Many times in the past, during the winter, the "I.C.U's" and the hospitals would be overflowing with influenza patients. Typically not even mentioned in the news> Covid is clearly worse than the worst flu for e.g. in recent years - Year 2018. Remember that there was no social distancing and wiping going on. So Covid is worse even with all the precautions. And about vaccines, try going to a pharmacy or doctor pre-2020, and they would recommend a flu shot. Its not as if no one was recommending flu shots before. -Arun
