How are they useless if they are not perfect? If perfection is required, a lot more in healthcare would be catching Covid much faster, including Delta.


Some real world observations from say Hong Kong as reported by Jay Chen, indicate that Covid spread is low in crowded Hong Kong, where mask use is more prevalent. Maybe, masks, even slightly effective, can flatten the curve. What is the point of keeping on repeating that masks are not perfect, which every serious scientist knows. Instead look at real world places where infections are low and masks are used. That correlation is worthwhile studying more.
