My unbiased opinion, or at least as unbiased as I can be, is that for the good of the world, I don't wish any country to displace the US as the leading superpower. Nor do I wish for a chaotic multipolar world in which several countries have about equal power.

What is best for the world and for Americans is a US that is true to its founding moral values. The US needs to be a country that leads because others want to be on its side, not because they are afraid of sanctions and bombings. To this end, a strong China and a strong EU/Russia that when combined easily outmatch the US is in everyone's interest. But a weak US will be a disaster for the world.
