That Werthman study compares un-approved injectable tri-mix with approved PGE-1 in Muse. This is not a fair comparison and really says little about the relative efficacy of the delivery systems. They should have either compared injected PGE-1 with Muse PGE-1, or the injected tri-mix with a transurethral tri-mix. The abstract also says nothing about the injected doses or how the Muse doses were distributed. Everyone knows that injections work better than transurethral and that tri-mix works better than PGE-1 alone. Unfortunately, this study failed to quantify the difference in any meaningful way. I believe that Vivus is on record as saying that they are working on improved formulations, including some of the drugs used in the injectable part of the study. --Whippy
