>>Have any Iomaniacs made any provisions for a Vapor! failure? Or are all of Iomega's hopes for the future wrapped up in this oft-delayed, smaller capacity drive? What can sustain the growth from year to year that would allow IOM to be afforded its high PE? Zip is a mature product. Zip disc tie ratios are declining alarmingly. Jaz is in deep. Jaz2 has been having severe Beta testing problems, and as a result has been delayed time and time again. Vapor! has had numerous incarnations throughout the years, and OEM's have rejected it time and time again. What makes Iomaniacs think that this will change? Because KE says so?<< Rocky - No, none of us have ever considered that Clik! might not fly. We are all counting on huge revenues from Clik! starting this quarter. We're all sure Clik! is already shipping, but KE just wants to surprise us with a big upside surprise in April. We know that nobody will ever buy another Zip drive, but we all have ourselves margined to the max, with every single dollar in IOM, because we have faith that the Great Kim will produce a miracle. End of sarcasm. Seriously, Rocky, I do appreciate the fact that you want to prevent people from making the mistake of being too heavily invested in a single stock. I agree with you that this is a risky way to invest. If you want to set yourself up as a giver of advice, though, you really have to stop exaggerating so much. It only makes your advice seem silly. Your post contains a string of statements which are either exaggerated or apparently fabricated in your own mind. Yes, Jaz2 has been delayed. So has SyQuest's Quest drive. Don't forget that Quest was announced several months before Jaz2 was, so officially, Quest has suffered more delays. Why do you believe that Iomega, which has far greater resources than SyQuest, cannot bring Jaz2 to market while SyQuest can produce Quest? You seem to believe every press release from any Iomega competitor or potential competitor is a stone tablet carried by Moses, but for some reason you can't trust anything Iomega says. In past posts, you have said only that n.hand was rejected and that Clik! already had been. The former statement is a misperception, and you have never given us one shred of evidence to support the latter. Now, you claim that there have been "numerous incarnations" which have all been rejected. Again, where are you getting this information? I've asked you about this before, and you haven't responded. I can only conclude that you've pulled this info straight out of your, uh, well maybe from the SCSI SparQ drive you told us all you were going to buy in November. Listen, Rock. Some people are invested in Iomega because they believe the company will continue to grow whether or not Clik! succeeds. Others believe that Clik! will be a big hit, and they are in IOM now because they believe the future potential is enormous. If that's what they believe then it's their decision and they have a right to it. I hope that any investor is always prepared to deal with the consequences if he or she has made the wrong call. You may believe that Clik! is already a failure, but you really don't know. Since you aren't presenting anything but conjecture, you aren't likely to convince anyone that you are right and they are wrong. Inflating your conjectures won't help. - Allen
