I seem to recall that movie being played at drive in theaters a lot in the early 70's.

LOL, my parents had no idea what that movie was and thought it was just a kids cartoon before the main feature. I was just a kid and we went to the drive-in to see Kentucky fried movie, Boobtube, or something like that. They figured I'd watch the cartoon and fall asleep in the backseat before the adult themed main feature came on. I'll never forget my mom panicking telling me to go to sleep and don't watch the movie. Of course I was peeking the whole time.
