Nadim, one hopes the conditions established by the IMF to bail these economies out will result in policies reducing opportunities for corruption and graft. As long as your upper class culturally accepts living off the backs of the masses nothing will change. An uprising of those down-trodden, as happened in the U.S. 200 yrs ago, appears to be your only solution. I would look upon the recent "attack" on currencies as the first "shots" in a war against endemic social persecution. It is a pity that the innocent must suffer in this war as in all wars. In our society the "poor" can extricate themselves by their individual efforts. Nadim, direct your energy to this end and you will receive more riches than the pursuit of profit through security trading has returned to you. You will also sleep better.
