I got a giggle reading my comments from 2015. I didn't realize it, but I was cutting right through the media spin that basically pretends the MIC is not a component. Geesh ! comments like "It's a complex situation". No... it's not a complex situation at all. We perceive a problem and we drop a bomb on it. The MIC is the only tool left in the box, both here in the UK and in the USA. The front line officer interviews are on the money. .... I enjoyed watching the comedy series "Kabul Kitchen". Like a lot of series, the first season is waay the best. Whats nice is the lack of bs about the Taliban. Everyone speaks flawless French in Kabul btw -g- It would have been better if we had not invaded of course. There are better trades imho.

That's a nice recap, recollection. History isn't taught or even news in ameriKKKa, what's news and education is all a narrative of "american exceptionalism" and once that fails it's lights out. You have it exactly right in "what's news and education is all a narrative" However... the rest in its construction is a solid proof that you are buying the narrative being sold... hook, line, and sinker... fully believing the lies you've been sold... quite willfully ignoring proofs of "what is" in favor of pipe dreams too gladly accepted... Correct, again, in ""american exceptionalism" and once that fails it's lights out"... only not understanding ANY of what it is that actually means... because blinded by your purposeful lack of perception... by deliberately adopting a narrowly limited perspective... from which you have gained a presumed vantage point... giving a singular view... one that requires it is the proper view of "the ultimate truth"... only seen by you with eyes forcibly averted from seeing anything beyond what you want to see... It is as useful as limiting you view... to a single movie screen... playing a single movie... and declaring in result that, yes, the reality of the world is actually Narnia... and we must kill all who disagree. Should be an easily recognizable theme in what I've been addressing in multiple and over-lapping instances as relevant in "logic"... and how it works best in ferreting out "what is"... in a world full of myths and liars... where logic, truth, myth and self interest are abused ... when enlisted by lairs... and lies are slavishly adopted by the ignorant and self interested ? The amorality of a self interested materialism... conflicts with the morality of "what is"... of truth... in proofs... ? The irony, is that "truth" is not fully essential to survival... as humans are capable of surviving great privation... as seen today in North Korea. That China under Mao, and the Soviet Union under Stalin... as Germany under Hitler... did not succeed... did not mean that all Germans, Russians and Chinese died... only some unnecessarily vast number of them. But, there is no sustained advantage (or intensity of interest) in mere "survival"... which is why you do not see people risking their lives... to get into North Korea... the way you do see them taking risks to get into the United States ? Purposeful ignorance... adopted while abolishing consideration of other views... to impose limits on one's own perspective... to avoid the "risk" in the challenge that cognitive dissonance imposes... is not the same thing as enlightenment ? What socialism sells as its goals... in the success it offers... is a thing it cannot deliver... which is why it must, as in North Korea, adopt the lie and forcibly avert eyes away from "what is"... when "what is" is plain enough to any student of history unwilling to look away... or to any honest person It is not shocking to me... that people who deliberately adopt limited perspectives... fail to see "what is"... or refuse to see it... and proceed in efforts seeking to impose their own "better" vision... borne of abject ignorance and averted eyes... on others. That approach... always fails... always will... only because what you wish were true is not "what is". American exceptionalism... is nothing other than the survival of the enlightenment... still battling ignorance. It will never die... and it is, in fact, no longer uniquely American... even if it clearly was in its origins... The recipe for human success... even while (wrongly) assuming it is failing in America today under the massive weight of the organized effort enabled by your own brand of ignorance... isn't really altered at all by your choice to ruin the stew... for everyone... by narrowing the ingredients... to water... and tobasco ? The anger and hatred easily observed oozing from the many opponents... of a more generalized human and social success ? Those, who, like you, hate the idea and the FACT of "what is" in relation to the determinants of human success ? That self delusion adopted... must express its anger... as the anger exists only because it is KNOWN, even by those advocating it, to be in error ? Otherwise, there would be no need for such desperation in "selling" people on "what is" in error... and being angry when they reject it? It being true that the individual is the basic unit of society... and it being true that success emerges from correctly acknowledging "what is" in that... and respecting the individual... PARTICULARLY in how their human rights are expressed in their economic efforts as economic rights... rather that from seeking to impose ignorant fictions in "what you wish were true"... Seen in the broadest possible sweep of history... language, tools, agriculture and civilization are new ideas. Each new idea creates and enables conflicts within and between human cultures. That's what evolution now looks like, in context of human advancement under competition... Civilization enabled, enables, aggregations of power... which create unique new potentials for humanity. But, from the advent of civilization, the societies that employed that power in subjugating individuals to benefit power itself... succeeded only in contrast to those who aggregated and employed that power less well... in conflict. Biden's failure to well employ what he has, that others have employed to good effect... does not mean the capacity is not there ? But, given societies in conflict... the emergent reality in civilization... is that those who do not oppress individuals... and do not subjugate their choices to the irrational whims of others... but instead seek to liberate them to succeed in expressing themselves as individuals... in cooperation with others also so empowered... That is all American exceptionalism is... or was... a larger measure of that liberating function than others were willing to risk... while some, such as yourself... seek to destroy the individuality of others... their rights to not be oppressed by you... as you seek to force their submission to some fictional "greater good"... as if there were advantage to be gained.... if all of the cells in your body... were forced to be muscles... Ignorance incarnate... absolute stupidity... don't prevent survival... [not of individuals... and not of societies or cultures...] which is why there are more Darwin Award candidates spawned each and every year than are able to succeed in that competition... ensuring we will never run out of them ? Which is not a proper form of advocacy for the advantages of ignorance and stupidity ? That idea... "that government is best which governs least"... originated in America in terms of its actual expression providing proof of function... and it succeeded wildly... and, in time, American success converted America into a global hegemon... if now co-opted and corrupted in having been subverted from its focus on "liberation" of self and others... to doing the bidding of the remnants of the European age of empire... But, it did so in a social context in which the "least" that government was expected to do and empowered in doing... was "the right bit"... "done the right way"... ? Socialism... is a remnant of that ideal... in which the individual is NOT seen as the basic unit of the society, or as any thing of import which must be respected, as the rights of an individual being necessary for the society to function... it is the linear inheritor of monarchy... "No difference between communists and (capitalists) and kings... other than who gets to be king." But, Hong Kong... for a time... enabled an even more full expression of that ideal... than America had ? The idea that the better player wins the game... doesn't dictate who the better player is ? But, arguing that the winningest player of all time... clearly has the wrong strategy... ? Yeah. That just defines you as a loser... with anger proving... a sore loser.
