Thanks for the link. I have only examined major countries prior to this. I guess that where markets are not transparent and government and large enterprises are one and the same, the sky is the limit because the price is what the government says it is.

This may be a dumb question, but why is the ratio of market cap to GDP so important? And should one compare Japan or the U.S. ratio with that of a much smaller country such as Malaysia?

(BTW -- I do own some of Malaysia, but interested very much in the contrary sentiment.)
