They still dive off the cliff there ignoring the warning signs. Not only the possibility of hitting a rock but that the water is very cold and could cause shock followed by drowning. Many years ago I donned a diving mask to swim the short distance from shore to the grotto mouth. I'm a very poor swimmer and seeing just how deep the water is there had a lasting effect on me - I never went in the water again, lol. Too cold anyway.

While relaxing inside the Grotto, facing the mouth, my buddy and I had smoked a bit of herb and were almost scared silly when divers appeared behind us. About 60 feet down there's a hole through the rock wall allowing divers to enter the Grotto from Georgian Bay. Memorable hahaha.

Now I feel like going back for another stay after Labour Day :-)
