Why don't they want Medicare expansion? To own us? "Makes no sense to me" Maybe it's not supposed to. I'm thinking that, if it did make sense, we'd be R's.

They didn't spend the money so they could use it for tax cuts and get all the credit. They did the same with money during the Great Recession but this time Dems put in the legislation that it can't be used for tax cuts. The Supreme Court knows this so now they'll give the money to their donors again.
