ALL: Wicked excellent article in thestreetdotcom today concerning after/pre-market tricks:

"Wrong! Tactics and Strategies: Cramer
Explains Short Sellers' Shenanigans

By James J. Cramer
2/5/98 8:09 AM ET

Did you ever wonder how stocks that close up "look down"
in pre-market trading? Does this paradox bother you?

Maybe you should stop to think about the shenanigans that
go on before the market opens, shenanigans meant
deliberately to depress stocks with the hopes of creating a
selling panic. That's what this piece is all about. ..."

It is worth signing up for the free two week trial just to read this
thestreet.com

I learned more from that than i will in school today.

Was watching South Park Central last night, did anyone catch it? Anyways, CC is having a contest called " There's no show like snow biz," The contest is sponsered by Peppridge Farms and the big I, Iomega.

Is this press release a crock of shit or what:

<<Resellers Earn up to 30 Percent Residuals With Safeguard Interactive Partner Programs>>

I have nothing agaist this company. Except, they throw IOM's name in the bottom of the paragraph and as a result, anyone checking out IOM stock picks up this press release.

On one side they are saying no one needs IOM once you use their porducts, on the other they are using IOM so people can discover them. How desperate are these dweebs?

Do you see IOM mention their name at the bottom of their PR?

Now who needs who?

Allen, re TC2000 selling/buying [BOP] indicator: I ignore it because
Worden Bros. refuses to explain the formula used. I don't use
something I don't understand. You said...

IOM has been up for the last five trading days, and is now roughly 20% higher than the low of last week. I don't see how this could have happened unless there were more buyers than sellers.

True, and all these 5 days and longer the TC2000 indicator said
"heavy selling". There was selling, to be sure, but buyers had to
offer higher and higher prices to entice sellers to sell. I guess
we might call that a sellers' market. In such a market the sellers
have the upper hand, because they can get more for their wares.

Maybe it's just a game of semantics.
