I did just want to chime in here. As the guy who did all of Dell's advertising, trade show work, and pr from the time he was working out of his condo until he hit $70,000,000, I got to know him pretty well. I assure you, Michael Dell will never have his "lunch eaten." He was making stunning calls when he was 19 and the boy hasn't lost his touch. Like someone else said, if he thought buying DEC was such a good idea, he would have done it. Though I'm not associated with the co. any longer, I can assure you that he has some of the best people in the business out in front of every eventuality imaginable. As for me, I've got holdings in Dell and CPQ, so I want both of them to succeed--and I think that they will.
