Underlying your statement is that there is some form of ideology, belief, or value lurking inside them. That is why I said I admire your faith. Whereas to me, it is just a game they play. They might as well have been playing for some NFL or NBA team. There is no ideology or belief. It is just techniques to win for the league one has chosen to play for. There are plenty of Republicans who are close friends with Democrats and after retirement endup joining forces or partnerships to form some kind of advocacy group or consulting business. There is no core value or ideology in there.
