Geo--<How? You "go long" (buy) the T-bill contract, and "go short" (sell) the Eurodollar contract at the same time. For every basis point the spread widens, you make $25.00 (and you lose $25.00 for every point the spread narrows). The margin requirement is only $235 per spread. >

If I understand this correctly there is no TED symbol or chart and one must compute the values accordingly?

Hi, Curious George...I appreciated TED SPREAD 101-class. Nice job.

Would you consider, for the benefit of this thread, keeping us appraised on this spread during the day, especially if it widens dramatically.

My sources tell me that shooting war is imminent, w/in 8-10 days now.
I'd like to think you'd pop up and tell us this puppy widened.

Knowing how my mind works and how set I get in my "ways", it will take me more than 8-10 days to get used to following this indicator and adding it to the "things I download/watch and get a feel for..."

Would you consider taking on this piece of the puzzle?
I know I'd appreciate it, and I'm sure the others would as well!!!!

Again thx for that time and effort.

CuriousGeorge - Re: the Ted spread....
Your "Ted spread 101" article of Feb 5/98 was very informative. The spread at that time was around 50. It is now hovering around 106 and rising. What's your opinion now?

My limited knowledge says:
- 50 is normal
- 85 correction time
- 150 crash helmet time
