History shows us, that we humans, before public education were pretty barbaric the world over. There was a time when torture, slavery and inhumane behavior was common place, as well as overt racism, sexism and homophobia. As we humans became educated and learned to think abstractly, we did away with most of that until today there is NO legal slavery anywhere in the world and most highly educated democracies have laws and customs today against racism, sexism and homophobia. A review of history shows that over the last 15,000 years as we humans learned we became more humane, until today where Steven Pinker in his book:" The Better Nature of our Angels" has pointed out this is the most peaceful time in the history of humans. And, IMO, history is clear in pointing out it was education that brought us to this point. The Republican party is a party of ignorance, insanity and criminality and I believe right wing imprinting. The most uneducated white's are mostly evangelicals and/or Republicans. <, ROFL and what, then, do you make of educated republicans? Some of them have read the same books you have- and more, and yet they think the same way the Taliban do. I think you're missing something. There is a genetic component to conservative twatism. They really are born that way. If one were generous, which I am not, one would see them as damaged from birth- I just see them as an impediment. But I'm not under any illusions that education will change people who are wired for fear and shame- those people are born to be conservatives, and it does not matter where in the world they are born. Every country has its conservaturd population.

There is a genetic component to conservative twatism I think there could be a third element, perhaps related to early genetic propensities. A happy switch that got turned to miserable. I think many RW'rs and MAGAS had something in there lives that transformed their brains into misery, anger and prejudice. A mental condition brought on later by psychologically significant events. Sibling jealousy, narcissism, anger at Mommy and Daddy for not giving them what they wanted. I carry this hypothesis based on two people in my family who were sweet children but something changed around 3 years old for one and about 14 for the other (both boys.) I have two others in my family who are Republicans -- but they do not have the gun worship, dogma, or the anti abortion rage. They are purely GOP based on being wealthy and hating to pay taxes to THEM PEOPLE over there. They are not angry; just greedy. They are very generous to their children who are now rich liberals.
