Do you know why everyone can do well by just buying the brodest index but 90% of the people fail in beating the index no matter how smart their idea is or how hard they try? It's because the people on the other side of the trade are also thinking complete human beings and are not missing any body parts. So you either have to be a damn genius in strategy, execution, and have better info, or you are better off not playing it smart. Well, this fact remains true in all human affairs. While a person may be smarter than most, very few people or even groups of people are smarter than the masses. And even if they manage to pull it off once or twice, over the long term most smart strategies lose. Trying to be "smart" is why the US foreign policy has been such a failure with so much blowback. So I truly hope that Biden has not been trying to play it smart and it's just been a dumb mistake.

China got their folks out of Afghanistan 3 months earlier... for China it will contine t be biz as usual there... buying resources... and as long as more radical Islam does not spread to Xinjiang... they will be AOK... that is the criterion that could change their outlook... as it affects their internal situation/.. folks try so hard to complicate the China situation ....
