Gold, Elections & September '21
WEDNESDAY, 08 SEPTEMBER 2021 BY: MARTIN ARMSTRONG

Many people have asked what is going on with gold. Right now, the world is treading water. We have really two critical elections that the markets are holding their breath - Canada and Germany. Much of this seems to be dealing with the reaction to COVID. Perhaps Canada will be the most critical insofar as it is shaping up to be a mandate on Schwab's Great Reset. If Trudeau wins by forming his minority government since it is really indistinguishable between the Conservatives & the Liberals, then this will embolden Schwab but it will also give a green light to Biden to get more aggressive.

Germany September 26, 2021

In Germany, the SPD has soared passing the CDU/CSU party of Merkel. This is not surprising given all the protests. The SPD has typically formed a government with the CDU so most do not really expect much change in policy.

So looking at Canada and Germany, if the Conservatives win and the SPD, we would not expect any serious change in direction. This will only lead to more chaos in the market as we head into 2022.

When we focus on gold, October is the critical turning point in many markets suggesting that they are indeed looking at Canada even more than Germany. We can see that it has NOT broken out to the upside, but nor has it broken the technical support. The uptrend channel from the 1999 low has provided the target resistance area.

This appears to be a critical target in time in most markets. We also have besides our political models going nuts next year, this is also the 2022 target for a rise in disease. There are many doctors being silenced that maintain that these vaccines will reduce the ability to fight new variants. Therefore, it is possible that this pandemic gets worse in 2022 and what they have release could mutate in ways they did not even expect.
