Eating healthy is expensive. When I was growing up, no one hardly ate salads, veggies etc. Fish was what Catholics ate on Friday.
My family was all in the medical field so we ate healthy but it was cheap since few others ate that stuff.
Now fish costs more than steak. Veggies and fruit are expensive. Processed food is cheap so that is a lot of people's diet.
At least the price of fast food is going up so hopefully less people will pollute their bodies with that junk.
I hadn't been to a MCD in years. While on jury duty, I had a short lunch break so ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were almost $5. I think I paid under a buck the last time I had gone before that. I can't believe people pay that much for junk.
