Yeah I tried doing the oatmeal thing but it had an aftertaste of cardboard that stuck around all day if I did it too much.
I don't believe in the vegan thing. Unless you're a TRUE expert, I think you miss enzymes, amino acids and things your body needs that non-meat diets don't provide. I do think you can cut 90-95% of your meat intake though.
Have you ever noticed vegetarians/vegans always look pale, blotchy with poor skin and dull eyes. They just don't look healthy.
I've always just listened to my body. When I was active in sports, my body told me what I needed. After a long set of matches, I craved protein and wanted fish. Immediately after playing, we used to joke we looked like kids as we shopped before the road trip home. We were buying bananas, oranges and anything with salt after sweating for 12-18 hours. I would carb load before tournaments. Now days, I'm happy with just a salad and kippers/sardines to get me through the day unless I'm going hard core in the winter.
