I have heard from someone associated with Bay Networks that Bay is no longer
interested in an OEM relationship with FORE. This comes from someone way down
the chain but I understand that FORE was very difficult to deal with in terms of
"compensation to its people." I do not fully understand in what sense that is meant
but I am confused about FORE's attitude. I am long FORE and have been for about 6
months. If this OEM agreement does not take place then is this stock overvalued at
these levels? Anyone with better info please respond. I am on the fence at this point
and leaning toward getting out of Dodge. Any input would be appreciated.

I used to be a FORE share holder. I was so frustrated with this stock
and sold them all. My opinion FORE current price is quite fair valued
stock. I don't see it will have big run up. Because FORE main product
which is ATM can not really take off and widely accepted by enterprise
corpration in the next couple of years. The first it's quite expensive(fore already reduce their products price quite a lot, but it still more expensive than 100base ethernet ), the second is there
are not a lot of applications available which really can take advantage ATM technology, and finanlly is that FORE itself is too small to compete with those big network corps, such as CSCO, BAY, COMS and ASND.

FORE has the best ATM technology, but it's not necessary mean that they have the best market. There are too many examples like this in the technology field. Marketing and Sales sometime are more important than technology.
