Our founding fathers had slaves, allowed for slavery, and did not allow women to vote, so I don't think their thinking was very fucking sophisticated!

And in a democracy we can change our mistakes and primitive thinking!

We invaded it, with the mission of getting the people behind 911, and then we occupied it for almost 20 years. When the Founders wrote "provide for the common defense", they were talking about the people of the US, not the entire world.
