With todays weights and speeds of collisions and bone-crunching tackles; injuries play such a huge role...

It creates much variance and makes handicapping more voodoo than science IMO. Dogs might be the action? This is going to be an interesting season... Maybe I'm grumpy because of the Cal Bears play now that the NFL Raiders are gone from here.

Depth is critical. Player durability too; or is it the power of painkillers before games?

It does give more value to longer shots and General Managers who value practice squad depth.

I hope all Niner fans like moi had a toilet nearby for the 4th quarter yesterday... The Lions starting roaring late; or was it the 49er injury vulnerabilities being exploited?
