This is so true that consistently in all polls at least 85% and often 95% of the population express great trust in their government and support of its actions. (5) The NYT ran a recent editorial that must have choked them in the writing, but that grudgingly admitted the Chinese very broadly support their system of government and that it appears to be working very well for them ... ... and when untrue, the system either adjusts or falls, depending on what grouping happens to be in charge and how. One man rule? hardly ever. Had Mao been the man who rules, the Cultural Revolution would not have been necessary, and its aftermath would not have happened, and today would assuredly be different, better or worse, but different. China, and none in China or of China or know China, recommend the Chinese governance system, that which in effect lasted thousands of years but only in China with all its trials and tribulations, to others, because such cannot be worked by others. Be suspicious of any and all recommending their system to us, for there likely is an agenda behind the recommendation, and rarely good for us. Ignore, avoid, get away, or overcome, about covers our options. What 'they' recommend to us is not likely to work. The Chinese governance system cannot possibly work in Afghanistan, Brazil, ... Zimbabwe, etc etc Might work on islands Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. The Afghanistan governance system cannot ... etc etc etc and yet there are people wishing to impose their systems on others, and we must ponder why.
