Hi George,
I thought that DEC was worth 70 and when we basically got 60 for the stock I (not that it would matter) would have voted against the merger. Now if CPQ keeps going up in price and at merger time the stock is at 41 we will get about the 70 that I thought it was worth.
Just my 2 cents that is only worth a 1/2 cent. Anyway I feel a hell of a lot better owning some future CPQ than DEC.

Business Week Feb 9 issue positive article on Compaq DEC merger. Article states that the WINTEL duopoly may be converted to a Microsoft -Intel-Compaq troika. This merger is a threat to IBM, SUN and HP and EDS. I'm keeping my shares of DEC and ride this one.
