Has anyone noticed that the spread between INTC and INTCW has been narrowing lately. One would have expected, at this point in time that the spread would widened to approach $20.87. Yet, currently it is less than $1.00.

What do you mean? At Yahoo I see

INTC: 87 15/16
INTCW:67

There's your 20 7/8.

All,
Errata to my previous post.
My, "Yet, currently it is less than $1.00.", should read less than $21.00, not $1.00.
Jules

Jules,

The short interest in INTCW seems to be about 700,000 (according to one web site) -- about 1/2 a day's trading volume. That seems rather low to bring about a short squeeze (and it has dropped considerably over the last month).

I noticed Intel expanded their buy-back to include INTCW -- perhaps this will add to the 'squeeze' probability.

Do you still think a squeeze is in the cards?
