The OSX is the Oil Service Sector Index, i.e. oil-drillers and service companies. You could get a daily a chart at fast.quote.com , by entering $osx.x. HAL and SLB are the "INTC and MSFT" of the sector, so you could look at those charts, as well.

From my view of the charts, the sector is at a crucial point, perhaps about to break the downtrend. I also believe this marks the top for the XAL (airline index). Airlines and Oils are sometimes negatively correlated due to the effect of the price of oil on airlines's costs.
