Macromedia Flash solves some of the bandwidth-and-graphics problem mentioned in John Nail's post (he mentions his webmaster brother-in-law doesn't use Macromedia products). And, it is slowly being recognized for how good a product it is. I guess the brother-in-law still hasn't been reached by Macromedia marketing, but a lot of people are getting clued in. Sales of Flash are becoming a significant part of Macromedia's revenues. Rob Burgess has stated that it's around 10% of their sales now. That would put it on a run rate of at least $10M a year in sales. It was less than $1M a year when they acquired the product (just over one year ago).

FreeHand 8 is just now shipping. It didn't put revenue into the recently reported quarter. It will probably produce significant revenue in this next quarter.

DreamWeaver is reportedly doing well also. Next quarter's revenues should be up. And there's no reason to think that expenses can't be controlled, producing good earnings for the first time in quite a while.

I can't believe this stock is still at $9 and $10. Three months from now after they report a really good quarter, it's going to make a nice move up.
