IMHO inflation is a stealth method to transfer more wealth to the richest Americans who are hedged and hold assets that can profit from inflation. Inflation has been with us for years on non-discretionary consumer products, eroding the middle and lower classes buying power, even with pay raises. A BOOM! for the credit and payday loan industry too.

If you shop as I do; you can see the packaging and net weight retail games that = higher prices per oz. or pound; but not necessarily per package.

Even the $.99 cent store sells items for $1.99, $2.99 now; I have even seen many items for $7.99.

Necessary things like oil changes for my car have doubled in the last five years. Don't get me started about the price of housing in California. Utilities including power, water, waste management and cable TV/internet have rapidly risen.
