It's very likely the Chinese Communist Party ordered Meng to confess, as Huawei is already toast globally. Meng is lucky the Party didn't demand she acquiesce to a life sentence. She got lucky. . Or perhaps we need to see what happens now that's she's back in China.

The changes are deep. We are witnessing history being made right in front of our eyes. Thngs that we thought would happen more in the future. Xi Jinping is totally in the defensive. Working hard to avoid the CCP losing control. Even if that means demolishing the Chinese economy. The Chinese people worked real hard to build that economy. It would be a shame the Chinese will demolish it just to keep the CCP in control.
