<<China needs to ban Cardano>>

I suspect now is not a good time for crypto adherents to engage in crypto wars while the concept & very existence of crypto currencies is under threat. -g-

It does look like I need to understand Cardano though.

But I have to admit, our governments are run so efficiently, it's difficult to see how any new technology could improve on such a tight ship -s-

Back to crypto. The more I learn the more I realize I don’t know.

I am watching 6 coins.

Bitcoin
Ether (from Ethereum)
Casper
Solano
Cardano
Bitcoin Lightning

Bitcoin is POW and burns mega watts
Ether is POW but will transition in 9 months to POS and burn less
I think the rest are POS and should burn less.

There are other coins that are on the Ethereum blockchain I don’t know which.
ERC-20 is a coin standard that is used on Ethereum , is it used elsewhere?
Casper was the code name of a project within Ethereum, is that project still planned or did the world fork to produce the Casper project?
Lightning is interesting, but can we trust it?

Governments will try everything to break it.

Prediction: The US will arrest some crypto king and make an example. No due process , throw away the key. China will make a better example and execute someone for trading crypto. How’s Jack Ma doing?

Just in in-tray ...

Major cryptocurrency prices fall in the week.
The price of bitcoin and ether fell by about 7% w/w and 12% w/w to $43.6K and $3.1K, respectively. The fall in prices of major cryptocurrencies coincided with the broad selloff in the global markets sparked by fears over China Evergrande Group defaulting. The plunge comes amid intensifying uncertainty about the regulation of stablecoins.

Trading volume of bitcoin falls while that of ether rises w/w. While the average daily volume (ADV) of Bitcoin declined by 1%, the ADV of ether rose 6% w/w.

The ADV of Litecoin and Uniswap also declined during the week.
