I agree - there will be early and late adopters. There needs to be room for the "never adopters' as well - economies always have on-going barter and uncounted exchanges. I have a bike I don't need and you have a case of cold cereal you don't like - we solve each other's problems without a 3rd party or coinage.

Don't we already? What % of your transactions are cash or check anymore? It's been over 2 years since I last wrote a check and I often don't carry green paper with portraits of past presidents. But it's nice to be able to.
