It's good to read the history of SI and sad to see what it's become. IMO, the mods are doing their best to cripple a return to the good old days. I'd never recommend this site to anyone. Like I said, in the beginning I had no idea what the rules were so I was banned almost every day. I thought, wow, what a horrible group of people. I'm sure sensitive people would leave the first day (my friends say I'm like a rock and it's mostly true). I had no idea there are so many small people in this country. They hang out here. There are some great people too, so don't get me wrong, but the vast majority are a waste of time. I think this is where we are as a country. Giving trillions to billionaires is now considered fiscally conservative and building infrastructure is considered socialism. Our country is declining the same as SI because we have too many morons. Koan is a god send. He and I disagree on Afghanistan 100% and it's the first time we had a major disagreement, but I like how he thinks. As far as I can tell his belief system is based on utopia or always doing the right thing. I know we're lucky if we get something right. Biden's decision was the right thing to do, no matter how messy it looked. It's the decision that matters, not the mistakes.
