I don't like averaging up, either. Took profits yesterday at 106, then felt I got out of this rally, early. Couldn't bring myself to go long at 108-109, so I reserved my capital for the future and used my profits to go long on February 110 calls. Now, I command 76% more shares than before, but only for two weeks. Hope those two weeks are good for both of us.

That's the spirit. You will have my moral support all the way.
At the end of the road you will know what D.I.D. means.

Have a nice day,

Hi Frank, how are you doing today?

Well, it wasn't that hard, your first bear-week on Dell. Today it
is exactly one week ago you wrote your "maiden"-post on this
thread to our all-time super-bear Hank.

>> dear hank

>> just sold another 1000 at 99 11/16. don't see much risk versus

>> reward. enjoy yourself. just watching a few snowflakes.

Well, I think this post can already described as a "classic".
What I like most is the "enjoy yourself" one-liner. How cynical.
Since you posted Hank is burned day after day. But I'm sure you
didn't mean it that way.
Anyhow, one important characteristic of all the Dell-bears is
that they seems to have developed a more than average talent in
writing funny posts.
Especially because they usually haven't the slightest idea how
funny they are.

I'm in a good mood today (long on ORCL, you know) so I won't
comment on the "I don't see much risk versus reward"-quote.

As I promised before I will also give you a few helpful tips.
What you need most next week is self-confidence. Dell made a nice
jump in your first week and as you know "the Games" still have to
start. So you need to set your mind in the right direction. This
will help;

- Do some serious chart-reading on Dell. If you don't like what
you see, just turn it upside down. Most Dell-bears use this method
to keep their confidence in a rough period.
- Don't search for negative articles about Dell. It will make you
frustrated and we cannot use that know. Maybe later.
- WARNING; NEVER, EVER watch a long-term chart on Dell. It will take
weeks to recover mentally.
- Write out a 108 7/8 times "What goes up comes down, Dell is NOT
different".

Frank, hope this will help. I think it is still too early to talk
about selling naked calls. One step at the time. The longer it takes
before you run out of money, the more you learn from your mistakes.

Have a nice weekend, and hope temperature in Ohio will go the same
direction as Dell. If not I hope Dell will go the same direction
as the temperature in Ohio. (I put my money on a heat-wave before
the end of the month).
