Trump got the deplorable imbeciles into politics. The wealthy have been handing them social bones to gnaw on while they gave themselves tax cuts and deregulation, but most of them didn't vote. Trump did the same, yet somehow they see him as a savior. The (R)'s know they've been exposed, and they believe their only hope is to go full fascist and take the wheel by any means necessary. The deplorable imbeciles think that will own the libs, so are fine with it. What it means is EVERY election for the foreseeable future, at EVERY level of government ( even local school boards!), is an existential issue.
