I was using one primitive movie which I think is representative of the way people thought in 1939. Today, pretty much anyone would find it silly. I was simply comparing how people thought 100 years ago and how they think today, and it seems obvious today people are much brighter, as a whole. Which is why we have outlawed segregation, racism and sexism. It took modern thought to effect that. <, Ok- here's the deal. If the mainstream movies are stupid, then it is because the people watching them WANT stupid. And they want stupid because a lot of them are stupid. The fact that today's movies are too stupid for you to watch kind of cuts against your argument using old stupid movies...
