I was wrong. I thought we would drift lower today. But as we a see a small bounce. I think that this is evidence that institutional is not bailing at the point. I suspect some will sell at higher levels but it is a bit of a comfort knowing that they didn't hammer it today. Chart still looks ugly but hopefully find a base in here.

It seems that NN's attempt at marketing directly to the Fortune 500 companies (through the UB sales force) was not as successful as they had hoped a year ago.

The new marketing thought, called Carrier Scale Integration, is to sell the tools to the Telcos whereby the Telcos can sell Intranet data paths to the Fortune 500. These ATM paths have guaranteed bandwidth, and guaranteed packet delivery, not network storms caused by overloaded 'best efforts' IP router paths.

The new marketing thought takes advantage of the carrier class reliability built into the Newbridge equipment and also utilizes Newbridge's existing Telco customer list.

Telco customers take more time to sell though..
