The Cardero PEA updates the numbers the USGS reported... as:

The resource estimate completed by Tetra Tech Inc. on behalf of Cardero is summarized as:

Measured and Indicated Resources of 76.8 million short tons grading 0.33% copper containing 510 million pounds of copper (0.2% copper cut-off grade).

Inferred Resources of 27.2 million short tons grading 0.28% copper containing 154.6 million pounds of copper (0.2% copper cut-off grade).

Low strip ratio of 1:1 waste to mineralized material in base case.

Their 510 million pounds of copper in M&I... is a tad more (5x) than the 98 million I computed from the USGS reporting 15 million tons at 0.31% ?

That's $1.53 billion in metal at $3... easily worth $2 a share... but still needing a Feasibility Study and work in permitting to make it matter in the market... while a bit more effort in exploration to improve the understanding of the extent of the mineralization on the rest of the property... wouldn't hurt...

But, the upside in exploration $ spent at Escalones probably significantly larger ?
